ISR Paper Development Workshop at PACIS 2024

Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam
July 2, 2024 (1 – 5 p.m.)

As part of its outreach efforts and to encourage submissions from the PACIS community to Information Systems Research (ISR), the journal is pleased to announce its first-ever paper development workshop at PACIS

Interested authors are invited to submit papers for possible inclusion in the workshop. Submitted papers should not be under review. We plan to accept around 20 papers that are of high quality and/or have the potential to develop into high-quality submissions targeted toward the leading journals of the IS discipline. Please note that not all submissions received can be accepted. Papers that are not accepted will not receive feedback.

Submissions can be on any topic and may use any research methodology (qualitative, quantitative, design, multi-method, etc.). Papers related to Artificial Intelligence (AI) are especially welcome.

The selected papers will be mentored by at least two members of the ISR Editorial Board. Please note that the workshop is not associated with any publication. The goal is to offer feedback to the authors that can help enhance the quality of the paper as it is prepared for submission to a suitable journal. Authors do not have an obligation to submit the paper to ISR just because it has been accepted and discussed in the ISR Paper Development Workshop. Also, please note that participation in the workshop does not imply favorable consideration or outcome at ISR.

The length of the papers submitted to the workshop should not exceed 22 pages (double-spaced, 12 font) – this includes everything, including references. The first page (not counted in the 22 pages) must have the title of the paper, the name(s), affiliation(s), and email address(es) of the author(s), and 3-5 keywords.

Please send your paper as an attachment (word format) as per the following instructions:

SUBJECT: “Submission to the ISR workshop at PACIS 2024”

In the body of the email, please include the title of the paper and the name and email of the author(s) who would attend the workshop if the paper is accepted.

Submissions should be sent by email between May 21 and May 25. Papers submitted before May 21 (00.01 Ho Chi Minh City time) and after May 25 (23.59 Ho Chi Minh City time) will not be considered. We will try to get back to you with the decision by June 2.
