PACIS 2024 JUNIOR FACULTY CONSORTIUM

Call for Applications

PACIS 2024 will once again host the Junior Faculty Consortium. This program is dedicated to assisting junior information systems (IS) faculty, primarily from the Pacific-Asia region (AIS Region 3) and beyond. It focuses on equipping them for future opportunities and challenges, crafting a roadmap for their chosen career paths, and clarifying the standards of the IS domain and its community, as well as the expectations of its key stakeholders.

The one-day program offers a focused setting for engagement and dialogue with faculty mentors consisting of senior colleagues who have play roles in evaluating promotion and tenure cases, as well as mid-career colleagues who have navigated the tenure review process. Participants will delve into vital aspects of career progression through feedback sessions, panel discussions, and interactive dialogues. Key topics will include career planning, meeting tenure criteria, fulfilling publication mandates, and effective networking tactics, in addition to strategies for maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Further details and potential adjustments to the program will be communicated as necessary.
